We wouldn’t send Tilly anywhere else

We are so pleased we found Lesley for our excitable 1 year old miniature labradoodle, Tilly. Previously we sent her to kennels when we went away and though it was reputable we always felt that she didn’t have enough attention and time with other dogs.

With Lesley she has lots of interaction and socialisation and comes home worn out from all her play time! Lesley is flexible and helpful and really knowledgeable about dogs. We feel she really does care about Tilly and treats her as part of the family.

We wouldn’t send Tilly anywhere else and have no hesitation in recommending Red Lion Canines.

Lesley is definitely Bailey’s favourite person – apart from me of course!

I’d been having problems with Bailey because of his nervousness around other dogs. A friend recommended Lesley and through consultations, advice and orientation sessions, she has worked with Bailey in a relaxed and gentle way.

As he transitions into becoming less fearful, he is now much more relaxed and calm around other dogs, less fearful and timid with strangers and is generally happier in himself. Lesley is definitely Bailey’s favourite person – apart from me of course!

A really happy dog thanks to all the support and advice

I met Lesley when I first got Bella , she is my first dog and thanks to Lesley she has developed so well and is thriving.

We went to puppy socialisation classes ran by Lesley which were so well organised and run that Bella developed excellent socialisation skills from an early age. I would highly recommend anyone getting a puppy to attend these classes.

We also joined the puppy train walks which were excellent in giving me confidence and developing Bella to mix and enjoy her walks from an early age. We then progressed to the Adult dog walking train which has helped Bella continue developing and are also an ideal way to get support and learn from others with Lesley always on hand with advice, however daft the question!

Starting the Kennel Club training has been another key way of training and enjoying Bella. The classes have been run in a supportive non threatening environment , with Lesley’s knowledge evidently clear, and Bella has continued to thrive.

Bella has also been attending day care at Lesley’s and the proof that she loves it and is well looked after is seen by the fact that the minute she gets out of the car she charges into Lesley’s house without one look back! I feel completely confident leaving Bella knowing that she is in safe hands and being well looked after.

I have no hesitation in recommending Lesley and Red Lion Canines and know that Bella is thriving and a really happy dog thanks to all the support and advice.

We couldn’t be happier!

Lesley was recommended to us by a friend and we couldn’t be happier!

Our dog Nala absolutely adores Lesley and we have been impressed from the onset, from attending puppy socialisation classes, completing the Kennel Club Foundation training, now moving onto the Bronze stage of training, to participating in regular dog walking groups at both puppy and adult dog stages which are so friendly, great for building confidence walking your dog and meeting other dog owners.

The training classes are small and friendly with lots of opportunities to practice important skills with our dog. Lesley is so knowledgeable, has great advice and her encouraging, kind and attentive nature to the dogs and us makes for a really lovely experience.

She had been so accommodating and patient with my children too as they have participated in the socialisation and training classes. My eldest daughter is now confident to attend the training classes and dog walks without me and I know that this is down to Lesley’s support and making her feel so comfortable and welcome.

We are really pleased to have found Lesley and Red Lion Canines.

We trust 100% our dog is safe and loved under her care

Lesley was looking after Pixie our puppy whilst we were travelling. The bond that has been created between our Pixie and Lesley is undeniable. Yes, I can write what a warm, loving and knowledgeable person Lesley is, but I wish Pixie could.

We have been since and will always, without hesitation, leave Pixie with Lesley, because we trust 100% our dog is safe and loved under her care.

We are both so thankful we met her

I have always had a dog in my life, and having lost my dog companion of 13 years, I decided to adopt Lulu, a 3 yr old Shepherd x Labrador. I was told she was nervous but this turned out to be a gross understatement. She was in fact terrified of anything that didn’t have four legs and as I live near a very busy road life was very scary for Luna. I needed to know how to help her.

Lesley was recommended to me and came to my home to meet us both. Her advice and calm reassurance made me believe we could overcome the problems and enjoy life together.

We went on the adult walking trains where Lu relaxed in the company of others – perhaps for the first time.

We now go to training classes where Lesley’s calm knowledge guides us all. We are learning so much, and having a good time, and I know that Luna and I can build on what is already a great partnership.

Lesley has been, and I’m sure will continue to be, a great part of this. We are both so thankful we met her.

A fun and secure home from home for Lilleth’s doggy holiday

Our cockapoo Lilleth has stayed with Lesley and Phil a number of times now and we couldn’t be happier. Although somewhat timid, on arrival she races into the house without looking back, and at the end of her stay is returned to us clean, happy and obviously well cared for. I think her time at Lesley’s has also helped her confidence with other dogs. Communication is excellent, and Lesley understands and caters for Lilleth’s individual needs.

Overall Red Lion Canines provides a fun and secure home from home for Lilleth’s doggy holiday.

Highly recommended.

Flora loves it and so do we

So pleased we came across Red Lion Canines, The Walking Train. If you want your dog to improve his/her social skills or just to socialise more and you enjoy chatting to like-minded people, then the walking train is for you.

We’ve been walking with Lesley’s walking train for 18 months and our Border Terrier, Flora, loves it and so do we. We go on various walks in the woods and along the beach and sometimes we even end up having a coffee at a dog-friendly cafe. Well done Lesley!

We would do it all again without hesitation!

When Jackson our rescued Rottweiler was diagnosed with lymphoma & not given long to live, Lesley asked if she could give him some Reiki. This had to take place at our home due to him having to be isolated whilst having veterinary treatment. The Reiki sessions were always done at his pace and by the end of them he laid down at our feet completely relaxed. It was amazing to see him so chilled which was not the norm.

Lesley continued the sessions throughout his illness which we are convinced helped to keep him calm & cope with all his chemotherapy.

We recommend you give Lesley the opportunity to help your animal or even yourself with Reiki. We would do it all again without hesitation!

Very supportive and full of patience and good advice

We have been puppy training with Lesley since our Standard Schnauzer Lulu, was 12 weeks old, and we are now enjoying the Kennel Club bronze course. Lulu can be very trying at times because she is always looking to have fun with the other dogs and loves doing ‘zoomies’ around Lesley and Phil’s yard. Thankfully Lesley is very supportive and full of patience and good advice so, with a lot more practice, we may get through to the next stage.

When we went away, Lulu had her own holiday with Auntie Lesley and Uncle Phil, which made her a very happy girl. She is still just a puppy so we were very pleased to see all the progress she had made during her stay, like walking better and being more patient. Lesley sent us regular updates and videos, which was great as we could see how well she was settled and enjoying herself.

Taking on a new puppy can be hard work and we are very glad of the support from Red Lion Canines during the whole process. The socialisation sessions, puppy training course and weekly puppy walks really make a difference! We would have no hesitation in recommending Lesley and Phil’s services to anyone.
