Testimonials
I first met Lesley about 6 years ago. I have a Jack Russell rescue who came with his own issues! Monty boarded with Lesley when I went on a weeks holiday for the first time of leaving him. Lesley had strict rules re boarding – all in the best interest of the dogs. She gave him first class care and also reassured me by sending regular photos. When I came back Monty was a far calmer dog and happier as a result – can’t praise her enough.
I cannot recommend Red lion Canines highly enough. When we first got our Rottweiler puppy, Lesley & Phil were both helpful and welcoming in our efforts to train & socialise Mollie, which put us on the right road to hopefully continued pleasure and success.
We loved that she could go for play dates which she thoroughly enjoyed with other puppy friends & gave us some down time away from full on puppy care.
Lesley of Red Lion Canines is an excellent home boarder and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets, she is kind, responsible, and knowledgeable. She has extensive experience. My dog Bailey is always happy and I never have to worry about his well being and safety.
Lesley and Phil at red lion canines have done nothing but show the strength of their experience and compassion to our 3 year old lurcher Larry. He arrives for a stay like a giddy idiot and returns calm and content.
We don’t worry about him while we’re away and he is looked after at Red Lion Canines which speaks volumes!
Having completed the puppy foundation training we continued to keep in touch and benefit from ongoing advice Lesley offered. We have been fortunate enough to send Milly for both boarding and daycare.
We can say with some confidence that Milly enjoys her time at Red Lion Canines and it most certainly seems to have a positive impact on her overall behaviour to spend time there and socialise with other dogs.
We would very much recommend Lesley for all the services offered.
We are so pleased we found Lesley for our excitable 1 year old miniature labradoodle, Tilly. Previously we sent her to kennels when we went away and though it was reputable we always felt that she didn’t have enough attention and time with other dogs.
With Lesley she has lots of interaction and socialisation and comes home worn out from all her play time! Lesley is flexible and helpful and really knowledgeable about dogs. We feel she really does care about Tilly and treats her as part of the family.
We wouldn’t send Tilly anywhere else and have no hesitation in recommending Red Lion Canines.
I’d been having problems with Bailey because of his nervousness around other dogs. A friend recommended Lesley and through consultations, advice and orientation sessions, she has worked with Bailey in a relaxed and gentle way.
As he transitions into becoming less fearful, he is now much more relaxed and calm around other dogs, less fearful and timid with strangers and is generally happier in himself. Lesley is definitely Bailey’s favourite person – apart from me of course!
I met Lesley when I first got Bella , she is my first dog and thanks to Lesley she has developed so well and is thriving.
We went to puppy socialisation classes ran by Lesley which were so well organised and run that Bella developed excellent socialisation skills from an early age. I would highly recommend anyone getting a puppy to attend these classes.
We also joined the puppy train walks which were excellent in giving me confidence and developing Bella to mix and enjoy her walks from an early age. We then progressed to the Adult dog walking train which has helped Bella continue developing and are also an ideal way to get support and learn from others with Lesley always on hand with advice, however daft the question!
Starting the Kennel Club training has been another key way of training and enjoying Bella. The classes have been run in a supportive non threatening environment , with Lesley’s knowledge evidently clear, and Bella has continued to thrive.
Bella has also been attending day care at Lesley’s and the proof that she loves it and is well looked after is seen by the fact that the minute she gets out of the car she charges into Lesley’s house without one look back! I feel completely confident leaving Bella knowing that she is in safe hands and being well looked after.
I have no hesitation in recommending Lesley and Red Lion Canines and know that Bella is thriving and a really happy dog thanks to all the support and advice.
Lesley was recommended to us by a friend and we couldn’t be happier!
Our dog Nala absolutely adores Lesley and we have been impressed from the onset, from attending puppy socialisation classes, completing the Kennel Club Foundation training, now moving onto the Bronze stage of training, to participating in regular dog walking groups at both puppy and adult dog stages which are so friendly, great for building confidence walking your dog and meeting other dog owners.
The training classes are small and friendly with lots of opportunities to practice important skills with our dog. Lesley is so knowledgeable, has great advice and her encouraging, kind and attentive nature to the dogs and us makes for a really lovely experience.
She had been so accommodating and patient with my children too as they have participated in the socialisation and training classes. My eldest daughter is now confident to attend the training classes and dog walks without me and I know that this is down to Lesley’s support and making her feel so comfortable and welcome.
We are really pleased to have found Lesley and Red Lion Canines.
Lesley was looking after Pixie our puppy whilst we were travelling. The bond that has been created between our Pixie and Lesley is undeniable. Yes, I can write what a warm, loving and knowledgeable person Lesley is, but I wish Pixie could.
We have been since and will always, without hesitation, leave Pixie with Lesley, because we trust 100% our dog is safe and loved under her care.
