We were lucky enough to find Lesley at Red Lion Canines to look after our beautiful Cockapoo Margot on the odd occasion when we go away. Lesley is wonderful with Margot and we are confident in the care she receives when she stays. Communication is fantastic and Margot always comes back a very happy little doggy. We have used Lesley and Phil for six years and have found them to be wonderfully helpful and, more importantly, great hosts for our miniature schnauzer Ralph. It is quite comical… when I drop him off he is all forlorn, but I’m barely off the premises before he is pulling Lesley INTO the house, all excited to be there! We know Ralph will always be happy and well cared for with Lesley and Phil, which is a greatly reassuring to us. they are always our go-to people to look after Ralph.
I have been using Red Lion Canines for over 6 years now to look after my confident cockapoo & anxious cavapoo. They absolutely love staying with Lesley & Phil and knowing they are happy, safe and well looked after (ok spoilt!) means I can enjoy my holiday. They are treated as family members and love mixing with the other dogs that stay, it really is a home from home. They eat & sleep & have their own holiday, what more can I ask for!
Lesley was recommended to us as the ideal person to care for Alice our slightly nervous rescue spaniel – how lucky was I!
Alice has home boarded with Lesley & Phil whilst we’ve been away on holiday many times -I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Lesley is so dedicated to giving great home care; she always goes out of her way to help out & clearly gives Alice a warm, loving & safe environment to stay in.

Marvin has been to Red Lion Canines for training through from Puppy Foundation to KC Gold. We enjoy the sessions its a relaxed atmosphere and small friendly groups. He has also stayed there for both occasional nights and longer holiday stays. He loves it there and is always so excited to see Lesley. I’m happy he is safe and well looked after there, I wouldn’t want him to go anywhere else.
We cannot recommend Lesley at Red Lion Canines highly enough. Lesley has looked after our two wire hair fox terriers for 7 years now meaning we can enjoy our holiday without any concerns or worries.
I cannot praise Red Lion Canines enough, the care and time taken before my beloved GSD was accepted for home boarding and the following care he has received. The fact that he goes off happily and doesn’t look round is recommendation enough. He’s been going to RLC for nearly two years now and I would be loath for him to go anywhere else.
